My entire career has been involved in project management and business transformation. All i've ever known in business is change. Through the roles and businesses I have worked in the past 8 years there has been only one constant. Change. The rate of change for business is almost astronomical. For many change is scary. For me, it has been my entire career.

 

I'm good at all of the usual stuff. Managing Risk, Budgets Resources, Timescales etc.. What makes me different is how I build relationships and truly care about the outcomes of my work. 

Anway, why did I step into the world of contracting? 

 

After one too many beers whilst on a camping trip with the family I had an idea. Why don't we quit or safe, secure, well paid jobs, take the kids out of school, rent out our our house, put our worldly belongings in storage and travel around Europe in a Motorhome...

So that's what we're doing.

Leaving full-time permanent employment means I get the privilege to do this type of work. I get to pick the projects I'm passionate about, the ones I can make an impact and work with the people I want to work with.
